A 3-day National Teacher Training took place in Student’s Cultural Center “Xenia” in Rethymno (Crete) from 5th to 7th October 2017 under the auspices of the Preschool Advisor of the 69th & 19th Region of Preschool Education in the Prefecture of Rethymno and Iraklio.

The training was opened by Maria Ampartzaki from University of Crete who briefed the participants on the program’s aims, scope and procedures.

Iglika Angelova from Intercultural Cooperation Foundation, Bulgaria spоке about “Accelerating children’s values formation in learning environment”.

Mehmet Arda from Doga Schools – Turkey showed practical examples on “Emotional Education in STEM classes” with the assistance from the Greek facilitator Michail Kalogiannakis (University of Crete).

Carmel Cefai, University of Malta carried out an introductory workshop on “Implementing a resilience curriculum in early years education”

Renata Jankeviciene and Jurgita Vaitiekuniene, from Panevėžys District Education Centre trained participants on “The importance of games and experiments in nature while developing emotional intelligence”

Prof. Paula de Waal from Fondazione Nazionale Carlo Collodi presented “Storytelling approaches to promote the Valorization of Differences”

Maria Ampartzaki, Vaso Giannakou, Kostas Christidis and Michail Kalogiannakis from the University of Crete carried out a workshop on “Historical art and inquiry-based learning as a means for developing emotional intelligence”
